Boyd Gaming has completed the $170m buyout of Pala Interactive. The deal was struck in March 2022 and provides Boyd with a complete gaming and tech suite to pursue growth in the USA. North Dakota’s current gaming compacts are set to expire in early 2023; after months of negotiations, the final drafts of the new agreement is in for review. The proposed compact originally included iGaming considerations. However, these were not included in the final draft, meaning online casinos are currently off the table.
