News and Analysis

Push Gaming Secures Pokerstars Deal

Push Gaming has brokered a global content distribution deal with Flutter’s Pokerstars Casino that will see the studio’s titles featured on Pokerstars platforms worldwide. The agreement includes the complete Push Gaming portfolio and delivers top titles, including Razor Shark, Jammin’ Jars, Retro Tapes, and Mystery Mission, to US players.

Fiona Hickey of Push Gaming said, “This year has been incredibly high-yield in terms of the games we’ve launched, the operators we’ve shaken hands with and the markets we’ve progressed in. We’re excited to continue this into 2023, which is already shaping up to deliver more growth.” You can check out the new Push Gaming titles at these Pokerstars Casinos.

North Dakota Approves New Tribal Gaming Compacts

With the existing state compacts due to expire next year, the North Dakota Governor and the state’s five tribal entities have signed new gaming compacts. The significant changes are to the legal gambling age on North Dakota reservation land, reducing it from 21 to 19, that online sports betting and casinos will be allowed, and potentially future state-wide online casinos if authorized by state and federal law.

Tribal parties were pushing for state-wide online casinos. However, Governor Burgum stated, “While we understand and appreciate the desire by some of the tribes to extend online gaming beyond their reservation boundaries, a clear legal path does not exist for the governor to grant such a broad expansion of gaming in the compact… We plan to work with the Legislature to bring all parties to the table and take a comprehensive look at gaming during the upcoming 2023 session, including sports betting, e-tabs, and other gaming.”

The next stage requires the Department of the Interior to approve the new compacts within 45 days.

Design Works Gaming Joins Caesars MI

It’s been a massive quarter for Design Works Gaming after securing deals with DraftKings, BetMGM, and now Caesars Michigan. This week the studio has announced a new partnership that will give Caesars MI players access to DWG titles, including Double Fancy 7’s, Panda Queen, 10X Fortune, and Diamonds, Sapphires & Rubies.

Troy Zurawski, CEO of DWG, announced the studio’s excitement, stating, “Caesars is home to many of the most iconic gaming brands in the U.S., which makes them a perfect home for DWG content… By launching initially with Caesars Casino Michigan, we’re bringing our top titles to a significant audience with high expectations for their gaming experience.”

Vici Partners and Century Casinos Announce Missouri Plans

Century Casinos and local real estate developer Vici Partners have announced plans for a new, land-based Missouri Casino. The resort will replace the Century Casino Caruthersville, the last riverboat casino left in Missouri, and will include space for 650 slots, table games, and 38 hotel rooms. The MGCB has given preliminary approval for the project.

Game of the Week

Terrific Tiger Coin Combo Slot. Light and Wonder, RTP: 96.15%

Terrific Tiger is a 5x3 new slot game from Light and Wonder; unlike most recent games, it’s a medium volatility number, and it comes with a Jackpot Feature, plus 6 different bonus rounds leading to maximum payouts of 11,973x the stake! Played with 243 ways to win, this slot starts how it plays, with a bang. There’s a Junk Boat Wild, which subs for non-bonus symbols and can appear on reels 2-4, but the Element Coins are the stars of the show, as they are the key to triggering the bonus rounds.

Element Coins come in red, blue, or green, and each that lands is added to the corresponding Element Bowl, ready to trigger a Free Spins feature with varying special features. The coins can also be combined, which delivers a total killer combo of six different free spin bonus rounds plus the jackpot game (the red coin starts the jackpot round, and if you trigger it, you’ll enter a click-and-pick round, searching for three matching Fu Baby symbols)! But that’s not all; there’s one more bonus feature, the Mystery Envelope feature, which is randomly triggered and rewards a coin win!
