Rush Street and Century Casino Partner to Launch WV Online Casino
Rush Street Interactive and Century Casinos’ Mountaineer Racetrack and Resort (WV) have partnered to create a new online casino, BetRivers WV. The launch is expected in quarter one of 2021 (post-licensing approval from the West Virginia Lottery) and brings the total count of online casinos in WV up to three (including BetMGM and DraftKings).
Whitmer Does It Again: Interstate Poker Legalized in Michigan
Governor Gretchen Whitmer hits another home run this week with the signing of Michigan’s Interstate Poker Bill. Senate Bill 991 will see cross-state online poker legalized for MI players, who will soon be able to join those in other approved states, which currently include New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware.

Connecticut Governor, Ned Lamont, Speaks Out in Support of Online Gambling Regulation for CT.
Yesterday, while giving his State of the State address Connecticut Governor, Ned Lamont spoke out in favor of legalizing online gambling (among other activities). In his own words, Government Lamont said, "Sports betting, internet gaming, and legalized marijuana are happening all around us [...] let's not surrender these opportunities to out-of-state markets or even worse underground markets".
Like many other US states, Lamont's remarks were made in response to what he called one of the most challenging and humbling years he and the state had faced due to COVID 19. While this is great news for players in CT, nothing is set in stone yet, and just last year, a gambling reform bill proposed by Joseph Gresko failed to make it through the CT State Senate.
