Nevada Considers iGaming Expansion

Nevada, which currently offers legal on and offline sports betting and poker games has this week asked the public for their approval on proposed gambling amendments that would see online casino games become legal in the state. This great news for prospective players and the state’s tax office, but we also love the fact that Nevada has approached the topic as an open conversation with the public. Roll on Nevada!

Penn National Dives into Proprietary Games Software After YoY Online GGR Increase

Penn National Gaming has purchased HitPoint Studios and its subsidiary LuckyPoint, in a move that will see the gambling operator create its own proprietary games content for Penn National players.

PointsBet Offers Casino Games in Michigan as Market Heats Up

PointsBet is an online sportsbook operating throughout the US, and unless you live under a rock or have no interest in sports what so over, you’ve probably heard of them. This week the operator is hitting the headlines after securing approval from the Michigan Gaming Control Board to add casino games to their MI gambling platform.

This is the company’s first foray into casino games (which is telling in that under 20 games are provided on site), they’re all exclusive titles, according to Sam Swanell, PointsBet director:

“Over the past 18 months we have assembled a highly experienced igaming team, which has built our in-house proprietary igaming platform and administrative tools, and I am thrilled to announce our inaugural launch in Michigan.”

While MI may be the first state to see PointsBet new games, it won’t be the last as the company plans to go live in NJ next month, and already operates a sportsbook in CO, IA, IN, and IL.
