Connecticut Governor, Ned Lamont, Makes Gambling History
It’s official, online sports betting, fantasy sports, and casinos are now legal in CT (but still await Federal government approval). This week Governor Lamont has taken the historic step of signing HB 6451 into law. We’ve been following this story closely over the last few months, and it’s now official, the Mashantucket and Mohegan tribes of CT will soon be able to offer online sports betting and casino games online legally. All that’s left is for the Bureau of Indian Affairs at the US Department of Interior to approve the law changes and the tribe’s casinos to form platform partnerships and launch online services, so hold tight CT, the launch of online gambling is not long off!
