Sports Betting Tax Bill Signed in Louisiana and Second Bill Off for Senate Approval
In more news from Louisiana, Governor Bel Edwards this week brought the state closer to legal online sports gambling by signing the first of two bills that will legalize the activity. The first bill, HB 679, makes a regulatory framework for sports, such as tax rates and licensing fees. The second bill is currently in the state’s Senate awaiting further discussion, but once passed and signed into force, sports betting will be legal in Louisiana.
