He warned against tariffs becoming prohibitive and stopping game providers and other stakeholders from innovating, highlighting how in Nevada, land-based casinos pay a 6.75% tax rate on GGR, while in New York, the figure is 51%.
We’ve got to say we have to agree, a more consistent tax rate across states or a max federal tax cap set on GGR would be beneficial, allowing the gambling industry to grow and flourish in all states similarly and for providers to focus spending on new products and research and development.
