Revenue Round-Up October 2020: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware Post Record Figures.
In New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, online gambling revenue is soaring according to each state’s respective regulating body. Showing a considerable increase for year-on-year gambling revenue.
In NJ the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement announced that the industry is up 26.1% with DraftKings, BetMGM, and Borgata taking the top spots as the highest earners in the state.
While in Pennsylvania, records are being set with a 13% total increase, which according to the PA Gaming Control Board is mainly due to the explosion of iGaming, with revenue growth of over $55m (2019 revenues were $4.9m, Oct 2020 they are $59.8m). From this, a whopping $40m was generated from online slots. In terms of the largest earners, BetRivers took the top spot, followed by DraftKings, Parx, and Mohegan Sun Casinos.
Meanwhile, in Delaware, the state lottery announced a year-on-year market growth of 161.6%, with online slots accounting for most of the revenue. In terms of the top-ranking platforms in this state, Dover Downs Casino stole the crown!
